He was the first artist that Jay-Z signed after he found Roc Nation, his private recording, music management and publishing company. Cole was born in Germany to African-American farther and white mother. The family was temporarily staying in Europe, because that’s where Jermaine’s father had to serve as the solder of the US Army.
